Experience

 

Professional Liability Medical Malpractice Insurance Underwriter- Educator, Farmers Insurance 1983-1991: Instructed physicians and nursing staff in correct charting protocol; liaison between hospitals, brokers and insurance company management. Required to understand and properly communicate current medical terminology.

Yoga Teacher/Yoga Therapist, Various Yoga studios (some aforementioned), public schools, as well as own studio, 1982- current. Teaching groups large, small and individuals.

Instructor and manager, Racquetball World Fullerton, 1989-2003- managed program of 121 classes per week and a staff of 20 instructors in addition to teaching classes. Introduced Yoga to this company in 1990.

Instructor, Presenter and Program Development- Arthritis Foundation, So. Cal Chapter, 1991-2006- lead Arthritis Therapy classes in community centers and presented programs for new instructors- "Train the Trainer". Involved in the evolution of the Twinges in the Hinges Program as well as leading workshops in People with Arthritis Can Exercise (PACE).

Instructor, Rancho Santiago College, 1991-2004; Led group Movement Therapy, Yoga Therapy, and Meditation. Classes college campus, in community centers, and in rehabilitation centers. 

Instructor, Trainer, Manager, 24 Hour Fitness, 1991-2007;  group classes, private sessions and continuing education training for staff. Established first Yoga program for this company in 1993 

Instructor, The Metta Center- Thai Yoga Therapy 2002-present- teaching Thai Medical Theory and Thai Bodywork- groups and private instruction available.

Project Homeless Connect- Healing Clinic Coordinator and Practitioner, July 2012-present-  annual event offering complimentary treatments to home challenged individuals in Bellingham, WA. Satellite offerings held periodically throughout the year. Responsible for locating and training the therapists who provide services on these days.
